Year 7 Badminton, Table-Tennis & Triathlon

Triathlon
 
A very close competition saw Barclay house narrowly come out on top thanks to a combined total distance of 12km (achieved by Libby Dunford and Lewis Dance).

Year 10

In a toughly contested final, it was Barclay house who came out on top, narrowly beating Catherine house. Well done girls:

Year 9

In a very close competition, it was Myddleton house who eventually triumphed on goal difference (with 3 teams tied on the same number of points)!

Year 11
Macadam won the football for the year 11 girls and earned 70 points. Participation points were picked up by the following: Eleanor - 1, Catherine - 2.

We had two great tournaments yesterday with over 100 participating in the boys and girls football competition. Both competitions were tightly contested but congratulations go to Barclay who won the girls' competition and Rawdon who won the boys'.

Swimming Gala Results

Catherine House cruised to victory in the swimming gala by winning both the boy's and girl's competition. We had a great morning and can safely say that this was the best attended gala for many years. 'Well done' to everybody who participated, particularly the more reluctant swimmers, who picked up many crucial points for their house.

Year 7 Handball, Uni-Hock and Dance

After the tournament was postponed last term, the year 7s finally had the opportunity to perform their dance routines to the rest of the year in the main hall. Others were able to participate in handball for the first time and managed to produce a very entertaining competition. Finally the uni-hock was as chaotic as ever with EL running out as deserved winners.

Year 8 Rounders, Football and Fitness Testing Results

We had an excellent turn out for the three competitions yesterday. For the first time we tried a fitness testing tournament where students had to record their best times/distances in four different tests (agility, speed, power and endurance). Special mentions go to the individual test winners - Israel Akano, Marley Chapman-Foy and Leon Butterworth (2 events). Here are the results (girls and boys combined):

The triathlon is a new event this year where a team of three pupils must complete 10 minutes of activity on the bike, treadmill and rowing machine. Their distances are recorded and the winning team will have covered the biggest distance. Well done to Luca, Harry and Readon of 7RA who won the first House Team Triathlon event.

Year 8 - Girls Football, Badminton, Table-Tennis and Triathlon

 
The badminton and table-tennis events were organised on a points per game average (PPG). This allowed students to challenge other houses at will and play as many games as they could in the specified time. The badminton tournament was so close that for the first time ever, we had a three way tie! Congratulations to Macadam, Catherine and Eleanor House.



 
The table-tennis tournament was not so close. Well done to Barclay house for their very impressive average of 2.57 PPG.
